Instagram Introduces Web Embeds for Photos and Videos

Facebook's Instagram competes with Twitter's Vine by trying to spread its content across more websites. Instagram unveiled web embedding for photos and videos.

Now, when you visit an Instagram photo or video page on your desktop web browser, you’ll see a new share button on the right side of your photo (just under the comments button). Click the button to see the embed code. Copy the block of text it gives you and paste it into your blog, website or article. When you hit publish, the photo or video will appear, said instagram in a blogpost

This feature will make sure that everyone sees whom this content belongs to. The embedded photo or video appears with Instagram username, and clicking on the Instagram logo will take people to that page on Instagram.com where they can discover more photos and videos.

If your content is private then nothing has changed. Embed code is only available to those whose photos and videos are public.

Its been just few days Facebook launched videos for Instagram. It is thus evident that both Twitter and Facebook are trying to position themselves as a source of real-time social content with such features. Instagram moves further with mobile but it is still lacking a browsable interface for public photos and videos.

Make sure you create shareable quality content that adds value to your customers. Use hashtags on your Instagram content to make it more searchable.
