frrole raises investment

In a bid to increase its growth in India, B'lore based big data startup Frrole has raised an investment of $245K. The list of investors are Sharad Sharma, who was the former head of Yahoo R&D center in India, Rajan Anandan, Google India’s MD and Manav Garg, founder of Eka Software. The investment was raised on LetsVenture, a crowd funding platform for investors.

Frrole is a big data startup which examines millions of tweets everyday and offers valuable insights to users. It’s a great tool for companies seeking trends on the micro blogging platform at a price of $100 per month. However, since Twitter itself is accelerating its growth everyday, Frrole would need to cope with its development. Currently, its only dispensing 2-3% of its data.

With the raised investment, the platform is seeking to enhance its microscopic view within the social web. They also have plans on building algorithms which will go beyond their current offerings and reach out to sectors like retail and few others.

This investment is an interesting angle to the Indian story of crowdfunding platforms and its growing trend. LetsVenture has been helping a lot of Indian startups grow their venture with investments from far off locations even.
