Twitter’s First Ever Hindi Trend is #जयहिन्द

India and Twitter celebrated victory together on 15th February. India emerged victorious against Pakistan and #जयहिन्द  became the no.1 Indian trend.

#जयहिन्द trended on a day when the entire country backed men in blue, who triumphed over Pakistan, gracefully. During the match in Adelaide, #जयहिन्द (Jai Hind) became the first hashtag in the Devnagiri script to become the top trend in the country.

Many more Indians can happily embrace Twitter, considering that Twitter hashtags are now possible in Devnagiri, Bengali and Tamil scripts.
