Instagram enables two-step authentication for more security

After allowing users to access multiple accounts on their app, Instagram now gets two-step verification for Instagrammers.

With the objective to improve security and give a hard time to hackers, the photo-sharing giant upped their authentication process.

The much-needed tool was long overdue for Instagram. With more than 400M active users, the platform attracts a lot of mishap and hacking. Finally with this step, Instagram is now in line with its parent company; Facebook, nevertheless, Instagram says this feature will be rolling out slowly.

To thwart hacking attempts, the latest update will allow users to verify their account via their phone numbers. From then on, whenever a user will try logging in their account, they will receive a text message with an authentication code. The code will be crucial to log in.

Like they say, better late than never, It is a good news for celebrities like Kris Jenner and Taylor Swift who are among the celebrities that have faced problems accessing their accounts temporarily.
