Whom do we cater to?

We cater to companies that are looking to boost workplace efficiency by ditching email, and moving to a more collaborative communication model. We have many clients in the Startup space and Flock has proven to be a powerful addition to the product suite for companies, with several companies going so far as to call Flock a necessity and part of their office lingo and culture.

What do we offer to our consumers?

Flock is essentially an enterprise messaging and collaboration app, and we offer a host of incredibly powerful features like Video Conferencing, Actionable To-dos, Polls, Code Snippet sharing, and Webhooks, bestowing more power to teams and enabling them to boost their productivity. Additionally, Flock has important features like file sharing, group chats, secure encrypted messaging, synced conversations across multiple devices, /slash commands, unlimited chat history and fast content and conversation history searches.

Flock’s end-game is to forever change the way teams in organizations communicate and function.

What motivated us to start up?

Directi was launched by two brothers, Bhavin Turakhia and Divyank Turakhia back in 1998, and currently it comprises of Flock and several other portfolio companies Ringo, Zeta, Radix, Media.net and Codechef. Each of these company runs independently by their respective management teams. Bhavin, being a serial entrepreneur is constantly innovating and is always on the lookout for market sectors and businesses that are ripe for disruption.

What's in a name?

We came up with a few names and shortlisted three out of them. We then conducted a poll across the company about what brand name and identity we’d like to settle with and Flock got the most votes. Thus the name Flock was born.

How do we see Social Media?

We use social media quite effectively to share important updates about our product. Additionally, we also use this platform to connect and engage with our current and potential customers. We also publish thought articles and posts on our feeds, apart from answering questions about our product features and how they are used and responding to user feedback.

Currently we are....

Flock was launched in 2014, and within the span of one year we have acquired some very reputed brands as our clients including Tim Hortons, Ogilvy & Mather, Murugappa, Yepme, gojavas and 1 MG, among others.

Our biggest challenge was..

As with all disruptive technologies, Flock also had its share of challenges. The biggest hurdle was getting people across companies to make the transition from email to an enterprise communication system. This was especially difficult in bigger organizations that are more resistant to change from traditional, more conventional models.

We want to dominate the world by..

Our aim is to make Flock a primary driver for organizational efficiency, to help reduce costs for companies across the globe. We plan to add several new and more powerful features in the near future to make Flock even more powerful than it already is. Flock as a system can be scaled up to work with teams from as small as two people to as large as a couple of thousand people. The long term strategy for Flock is to make it the go-to tool for any and all organizational tasks and we are well on our way to integrating the essentials for companies.

We’re making moolah by...

As of now Flock is free to use for an unlimited number of users with all of its features. In future we will launch our premium version with certain customized, premium features that our users will be able to upgrade to on a per user basis, based completely on their requirements.

Industry as we foresee

Social Media is evolving with every passing day, and we feel user generated content will gather a lot more steam. It has become critical to connect with a budding generation of influencers; they can be your everyday consumers or your employees. It’s all about co-creating content and leveraging their follower base to create a strong public opinion.

Lastly, Are you hiring?

Yes, we are. Flock as a company is expanding.
