New Update
Snapchat eBay

With the integration, users would be able to share eBay listings with their friends with Snaps using the Snapchat Camera on Android and iOS.

The integration with eBay is designed to streamline conversations about products such as new sneakers or vintage handbags or any other products that users would find on eBay, and take suggestions from friends and discuss the products.

How to share eBay listings with friends on Snapchat:

  • Open the eBay app and select any listing
  • Tap the Share icon and then tap the 'Snapchat' option to automatically jump to the Snapchat Camera with the automated eBay sticker
  • From there, create an original Snap with the eBay sticker, and layer on using any of our creative tools
  • When a Snapchatter sends a Snap that includes an eBay sticker to their story or directly to their friends, the recipient or viewer will be able to tap the eBay sticker to jump back to the listing in the eBay app

The tool would enable Snapchat to facilitate social interactions for online shopping and drive potential conversions for eBay. This is another step towards the platform assisting online shopping and augmenting in-app experiences such as AR try-on.

Previously, Snapchat announced a feature called visual search in partnership with the online shopping app, Amazon which allowed users to search for a product by pointing their app’s camera to a physical product or its barcode. Once the item is detected, an Amazon card will appear on-screen leading to the Amazon app (if installed) or their website where you can buy the product.
