In a shocking move, the Supreme Court has decided to shut down the iconic Taj Mahal and has asked the UP government to demolish or restore after the lax measures employed by the administration to preserve the international heritage site. This move by the apex court left some Twitter users in a panicked state.
Troubled and exhausted by the handling and jurisdiction of the monument, the Supreme took the Centre and UP government left and right. It passed a resolution leaving a choice in the hands of both the parties.
The resolution states that, “Either we will shut down the Taj or you demolish or restore it. Eighty million go to watch Eiffel Tower, which looks like a TV tower. Our Taj is more beautiful.”
The Supreme Court’s ruling rushed twitter into panic as one of the seven ancient wonders of the world might just get demolished
This is troubling news – and how much longer can this iconic monument sustain up to 70,000 visitors per /day/ without suffering long term damage? 🙏🕊
India government is 'failing' to protect Taj Mahal. https://t.co/ijAAl4HTS4

Save the Taj Mahal! This monument has always captured my imagination since I was a little girl. I may never get to see it in person but I would be terribly sad to know the Taj Mahal was gone forever in my dreams of India.

Woah, Indian Supreme Court decision on Taj Mahal is truly comendable. While at it, find a stern way to make visitors more responsible towards historic monuments too, like higher littering fines, no spitting, etc ? #TajMahal

Demolish the Taj and everything else too. Let's go back to living like apes, since we are now at least behaving like them as well.#TajMahal

Idol worshipping is prohibited in Islam & is seen as an act of evil, So why offer prayer in Taj Mahal (makbra)
Welcome decision by Supreme court not to allow offering of namaz at Taj Mahal. As it is one of the seven wonders of the world not a masjid #TajMahal
