This Year take a resolution of never visiting Kerala

Kerala Tour

Planning a Kerala Tour ? You should absolutely not! Why visit the amazing beaches and the houseboats! Tea plantations? Pfft, what’s that?

When they talk about Kerala, the images of houseboats, fishing nets, tea gardens, and gorgeous sunsets come to mind. Every time I take a trip here, I miss upon something for which I have to make another plan. Why would anyone want to keep visiting the same place again and again?

There are lakes in Dharamshala, beaches in Goa, mountains in Coorg, wildlife in Corbett, cafes in Pondicherry, so it makes a lot of sense to visit one state at a time instead of Kerala multiple times. Why go somewhere, where you can find all the wonders in a single trip? No sir, not at all!

In words of Johann Binny Kuruvilla, Kerala is ‘Where mountains meet rivers which meet the sea in harmony. That is the essence of the life in Kerala. Harmony between the people from all walks of life. God’s Own Country! God’s Own Kerala.’

Ask anyone who has visited Kerala once, they’ll give you umpteen reasons for not to visit this state. Well, listing down a few important ones below –

Backwaters

Look at these backwaters, the houseboats that take you on a trip over this tranquil waterway. This route provides means of commute between many island villages. A journey that will leave you wanting more. Why would anyone want to end up with such a feeling at all!

Festivals

Kerala is home to many festivals – Thrissur Puram, Vishu, Snakeboat Race, Onam, Makarvilakku, Christmas, New Year Carnival and so much. After every festival you’ll wish to see more and more of Kerala’s culture. Kind of difficult, right? So how about not starting with it at all?

Food

The cuisine of Kerala has everything. The natives here love eating and sharing their love for good food with people around. You will spend days trying the local cuisine and yet you will manage to miss out one thing because there is just so much to eat! Pfft, so overrated.

Tea Gardens

How about these beautiful lush green tea gardens from Munnar, Palakkad and surrounding areas? Makes no sense for a family to experience the peace and tranquillity these offer.

Nestled amidst the sprawling tea gardens of Munnar, Club Mahindra Resort is the perfect gateway to the world of scenic wonders.

Natural Beauty
We are sure that you’ll find such views anywhere you go. Why go Kerala then?

Trekking
Wayanad, Palakkad, Dhoni Hills, Anamudi Peak are just a few of the many lush tranquil hiking and trekking spots in Kerala. An adventurous soul would probably leave everything and keep scaling the routes for a lifetime.

Waterfalls

The lush green hills of Kerala are bestowed with gorgeous waterfalls. A hike to the Athirappilly waterfall is an experience in itself. But I am sure you don’t need this!

"Only the two of us flying high upon the wings of love"~❤️ • It becomes a task for being a photographer to plan out things by being here at Gujarat and the shoot location be where you have never been.. From planning of a shoot theme, location, couple's dressing and also length? For me, it was first time to visit this beautiful state Kerala.. I planned out things on prior make sure we cover what we wanted to.. This place was in a must list of the shoot.. I was not sure about the wind and the amount of water falling on the object but wanted to create something like this and suggested the clothing.. And this is what we got❤️ • P.S. I had fallen 2 times in water while shooting here and my clothes were all messed up which I had to wear for the whole day as the shooting schedule was planned and was really packed..? But I am sooooo happy to see the output being so beautiful❤️ • #prewedding #Couple #Wedding #Photography #wedmegood #weddingsutra #love #weddingphotography #photooftheday #quoteoftheday #zowed #wedaffair #bride #Nikon #NehaRanaPhotography #kalaadarbaarphotography #candid #ilovekochi #kochi #kochigram #kochidiaries #beach #cherai #kerala #keralatourism #athirappilly #athirapally #athirapillywaterfalls #athirapilly #kerala360

Cafes
When you talk about Kerala, the trip is incomplete without exploring the cafes. Fort Kocchi, Alleppey and Varkala have umpteen cafes with some of the best food and art to feast your belly and soul upon.

Kashi Art Café of Fort Kocchi is probably a favourite of every visitor. The meat lover’s omelette is filled with bacon, chicken, sausage and so much that is enough to feed you for life.

Olive Downtown Cochin is perfect to start your journey to the artistic cafes of Kocchi.

But, I am sure this doesn’t tempt you?

Wildlife

Do you want to dwell into the land of wild elephants, tigers, crocodiles, jaguars and see them up-close? Well, Kerala will take you into the heart of its wildlife and show the wonders of nature in its complete glory.

But, you’d rather see all this on TV.

Local folk culture

Kerala is incomplete without its dance and music. Thaiyyam, Mohiniattam, Kathakali are just a few of the traditional forms of dance which will leave you in awe.

The local martial art Kalari is an experience that requires utmost precision to observe.
