rebranding of Twitter

Elon Musk announces Twitter's rebranding by turning its legacy blue bird into an X. With Twitter X trending, brands jump on the bandwagon with their creatives.

After merging Twitter Inc. with X Corp in April 2023 in a $44 billion deal, Elon Musk has been introducing changes and updates to the microblogging site. His vision behind acquiring Twitter was always to convert it into an everything app ‘X’. Adding to the changes, Elon Musk has now rebranded Twitter to 'X'. Musk said that tweets will now be called x's.

This move is part of his broader plan to center X in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking, and create a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Musk announced the rebranding through tweets. The new logo was also projected onto their San Francisco headquarters.

As Musk bid adieu to the iconic blue bird, brands wasted no time in shaking up the Twitterverse with their creatives as the hashtag #TwitterX started trending worldwide. These brand creatives have sparked even more engagement and buzz.

From tech to fashion brands to dating platforms, each brand brought its own creative to the table by incorporating an X factor into their posts.

As brands share their excitement, here's a look at some of the brand creatives.
