Reasons for Unfollowing People on Twitter [Info-graphic]

Every day we are continuously being bombarded with a lot of information on twitter. Following somebody on Twitter is always a small leap of faith which sometimes doesn’t work out. So much could go wrong with just 140 characters.

If your tweets are all about “I’s or We’s”, “LOOK AT ME… I’VE DONE THIS” and your only retweets are about you, then you may lose followers. A little self promotion is good for any business but if it exceeds, it harms your reputation.

Follow the 80/20 rule. Post 80% helpful or entertaining content and save 20% for self-promotion. Provide value to your followers with your content, only then you can keep them engaged. Spamming will only damage your reputation.

Keep your tweets positive and your followers will act accordingly, remembering warren buffets famous quote: “It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to lose it”.

Here is a funny info-graphic of the top reasons for unfollowing people on Twitter made by DK New Media.
These are simple and easy-to-fix mistakes people often make. So, learn from the mistakes of others, you can’t live long enough to make them all yourself!
