Instagram introduces Live Face Filters

Your Instagram Live broadcasts can now be even more goofy and fun with the all new Live Face Filters announced yesterday.

The Live Face Filters can be located on the bottom right corner of your phone screen, wherein the existing face filters that add rainbow light and stars or the new sunglasses with reflections that change with just a tap on the screen! The sunglasses face filter will only be available within Live Video and for a limited time period that will last the next week.

Users can go Live as they used to, and can apply the face filters before or during their Live broadcast. If they choose to save, or share their Live broadcast on Stories, that is the only way Live exclusive filters can end up in your Instagram Stories.

Not a major update, Instagram’s decision to go for exclusive Live Face Filters could enhance the user adoption for it as it heightens the playfulness of the service.

Although the new update for Live Face Filters was announced yesterday, Instagram admits it may take the next several weeks for it to reach all the users over the world.
