How do we define Zero Budget Agency?

We are a modern communications agency, one of India’s first of the agencies to specialize in zero-based communications, set up in 2014 by Co-Founders Rashi Ray and Ram Ray.

What’s in the name?

ZERO creates effective campaigns that require spending less on media and production. Strong ideas don’t necessarily need large media budgets. We also use bold designs and minimalist styles that stand out in a crowded market and more internet and guerrilla with less newspaper and TV.

What do we do?

We’re a full-service agency creating strategy, designs and production across all media. We look at our client’s communication problems, then create what we think they need to solve those problems. It could be brand identities, campaigns, social media content, advertising commercials, websites, books, and more.

Why we do it?

We have a fun job! Every day is stimulating because we’re lucky to have pathbreaking businesses to work with - whom we help to solve problems,

across a wide array of markets and industries. And of course, we saw zero-based communications to be a good business opportunity.

How we evolve?

We’re a young team, very quick on our feet. We initiate a lot of personal projects which help us experiment with technology, design trends, markets.

• Interruption. That needs to be dealt with better.

We learned the hard way

It’s okay to reject ideas, till you have the one you’re going to go with. Reject as many as necessary.

When people meet our founder for the first time, expecting someone who “looks more like an advertising man”; she's not of the sort.

A day without the internet.

At first, it would get crazy. Ruin everyone’s mood. Stall work. And then, we’d spend time together working on ideas (without the internet), which would be quite refreshing.
