Communication in the State Tourism campaigns have undergone a huge change in the last few years. No longer, the ads are only about showcasing the list of places where you can visit, but the focus is more on the experience and the warmth, which accentuates the beauty of the place.

Along with TV, there is heavy use of social media and influencers too play a key role in spreading these state tourism campaigns.

Assam Tourism’s video featuring actress Priyanka Chopra is winning the internet lately because the ad highlights the beautiful picturesque locations and lists reasons why one should have Assam on their travel list.

The Kashmir Tourism campaign launched few months back became very popular on the internet for similar reasons. The West Bengal Tourism ad on the other hand highlighted the beauty and the rich heritage of the state through the eyes of a foreigner.

Assam Tourism

From Priyanka wearing a traditional Mekhla Chador and practicing the folk dance of the state- Bihu to featuring the tea gardens, the delectable dishes to the craze for football among kids, the video makes the viewers yearn for more. It ends with the actress saying -’Once you visit Assam, it stays with you forever’.

According to reports, the video will officially be released on November 1 as part of Awesome Assam Tourism campaigns. There is already a huge buzz on the internet even before its official release.

Kashmir Tourism

Kashmir Tourism launched their campaign ‘The Warmest place on Earth’ to highlight the beauty of Kashmir, not only in terms of the scenic beauty, but the warmth and the hospitality of the people residing there. The 5-minute long campaign stirred conversations on social media with celebrities also tweeting about it.

Kerala Tourism

The Tourism Department of Kerala has launched a unique marketing campaign titled #GoKerala , in association with HolidayIQ and it is currently running now. Under this campaign, 5 lucky couples will get a chance to win a 10 days, all-expense paid trip to Kerala and visit unexplored & pristine destinations of the state. It is a content led, multiple platform campaign with a dedicated microsite, integrated touch points and targeted reach. Till now it has received great response from travellers all over the country and the objective is to showcase the unexplored destinations and position Kerala as a family holiday destination across the country.

West Bengal Tourism

The West Bengal Tourism ad is through the eyes of a foreigner who embarks on a journey through the state and soaks in the pleasures of delicious food, culture and the rich heritage. The aim of the video, which also features actor Shah Rukh khan was to highlight the lesser known places of Bengal.

Rajasthan Tourism

Rajasthan is synonymous with scenic imagery of sand dunes, majestic palaces, traditional folk music and dance. The ad released in 2016 was done with the objective to break stereotypes and tell the viewers and that Rajasthan looks different through the eyes of different travellers. It was a 360 degree campaign, consisting of six films and there was also an animated video, which revealed the new logo for Rajasthan Tourism.

Madhya Pradesh

MP Tourism’s ad with Bobble heads and kid’s toy released last year became very popular for their visuals and melodious back-ground tracks.
