Instagram adds clickable hashtags and account names to bio

Instagram appears to have rolled out one of the most awaited features – clickable hashtags and account names in the bio. The update allows users to use @ and mention the accounts they wish too, same goes for hashtags.

Bloggers, SMBs, influencers – and everyone who wishes to make their bio exciting with CTAs, now is the time to edit.

Once you edit your bio and enter # - the photo sharing app will start throwing in suggestions of the most popular and trending hasgtags. Prior to this only links in the bio were clickable.

The roll out comes in as a huge benefit for brands, influencers as they can now spruce up their marketing game.
