Superwomen 2020 Bhavya Doshi

Using illustrations to spread positivity across, Social Samosa Superwomen 2020 winner Bhavya Doshi is a firm believer in passion and consistency for achieving any goal.

After spending years working in a corporate world, Bhavya Doshi, Founder, and Chief Creativeologist at The Doodle Desk realized that she is more inclined towards art. Owing to her strong determination, she quit the job only to spread positive messages through her illustrations. A Superwomen 2020 winner, Doshi shares her two bits on what it takes to be a superwoman in today’s day and age.

How would you define a Superwoman in today’s day and age?

We all have limited time, energy, and resources, to make the most of it is the key. For me, a Superwoman is someone who is wise in choosing where her energy goes, practices self-love, and respects herself.

Irrespective of the challenges, the modern woman has scaled the peaks of corporate and entrepreneur life and has well dug her heels there. For a Superwoman, it is essential to maintain a work-life balance with a blend of professional and personal life priorities. It is necessary, especially for women to analyze and prioritize work with a dedicated approach to maintain a perfectly balanced life.

One quality that you think every superwoman has and that helped you win Social Samosa Superwomen…

I think for any achievement, consistency is the key! Of course, Consistency flows easily if you do what you love! So, for me, passion and consistency go hand in hand for achieving my goals.

How successful have women been in shattering the glass ceiling in the Media & Advertising field? Does the ‘boardroom inequality’ phrase still stand true?

Mission to moon or business, women are excelling in all fields of profession. Today the internet is providing an unbiased platform to all the talents. By gender equality, allowing them to get a quality education, and by embracing their unique leadership potential, women can blaze a path to the top of the success ladder in any field for that matter!

While corporate politics may still exist, the Superwomen sure knows how to handle that!

With competition everywhere, from nursery to jobs, to people having problems with their relationships or even body image issues, is a very common phenomenon these days.

Seeking help can be hard for some people, especially those at the early stages of depression. And, sometimes it just helps to talk to someone about how you feel. So I feel to make workplaces more nurturing, it is very important to have a communication system or a dedicated environment/ or even a department to do the needful. Maybe incorporate weekly Mindfulness sessions, or have conversations over coffee with your HR team!
