#SAMMIE2022: Winners bask in the glory
The winners of the 5th edition of Social Samosa BSMB awards were announced on December 13 at a night filled with glory and talent.
The 5th edition of the Social Samosa BSMB SAMMIE awards was a tribute to the minds that create conversational and human brands. The platform celebrates and signifies these behind the scene heroes who were awarded for their unexceptional talent.
SAMMIE received more than 350 nominations across categories and in an industry celebration on December 13, the winners were unveiled. The night saw a total of 105 winners, across categories.
The Special category saw 35 Gold Metals, 39 Silver Metals, and 7 Bronze Metals. Similarly, the Main category had 7 Gold metals and 13 Silver Metals. There were no bronze metals in this category. Apart from these, the individual category saw 4 awards.

Schbang bagged the most wins on the agency side. Brands such as Prime Video India and Domino’s India bagged a few metals. In the Individual category, Digital Marketing Professional of the Year was awarded to Sharan Pillai – Flipkart.
The event also saw industry speakers who shared their thoughts on creating human brands. This included names such as Krishnarao Buddha, Senior Category Head, Parle Products who spoke on Building A Digital Habitat for a Legacy Brand, Shreya Agarwal, Head of FilterCopy, a Pocket Aces Channel, who spoke about ‘ROI through branded content’, Utsav Chaudhuri, Marketing Head – Youth, Music, and English Entertainment, Viacom18 – he spoke about Keeping up with the Gen Z & Gen Alpha, and finally, Prashant Kohli, VP- Brand Strategy, Wiggles. Kohli spoke about Unlocking the Power of Community to Build a Brand.
