Reddit updates: New features aims to simplify use

The new Reddit features will simplify and streamline how people discover, join, and contribute (post, vote, comment) to communities and bring new ways to engage in conversations and content.

Reddit has recently launched new updates that make its user interface easier to use. In a blog post, the platform highlighted its product and design improvements to engage users. 

The new features will simplify and streamline how people discover, join, and contribute (post, vote, comment) to communities and bring new ways to engage in conversations and content.

In 2022, the platform shared its product priorities for the first time and worked on improving posting experiences, launching its developer program, making comments searchable, updating moderator tools, and much more.

The ability to search within post comments

Now users can search for a particular word or phrase in the comment section and the user interface will bring forth the posts with the words.

New feeds

Users now have the option to choose between ‘Read’ and ‘Watch’. Depending on the option they choose, they will be able to optimise their content with text browsing or video content appearing in their feed. 

A decluttered interface

The new interface will also make it easier for people to find relevant content and contribute to communities faster.

Reddit is currently working on introducing its updated web platform to deliver fast and reliable experiences to everyone globally, new updates to its video player to enable redditors to easily engage in conversations while watching, chat enhancements, new storefront updates and more.
