Twitter new verification system is here, while it is not made official yet, they have managed to give a few blue ticks again.

Twitter has announced that it will be verifying users again. Last year the micro blogging platform had announced that it would stop the verification process for several reasons, major one being that the symbol had lost its importance and status.

Till now Twitter has unverified some accounts like the White nationalist and conspiracy theorist.

According to reports, a few accounts have been given blue checkmarks in the last few weeks. This includes Michael Wolff, author of the new Trump tell-all book Fire and Fury, and Mick Mulvaney, the new director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

The blue verification tick had managed to evolve as a status symbol, however, sparked a debate where genuine accounts weren’t verified while, white nationalists were.

While Twitter has not made any official announcement around the same, they have managed to give a few blue ticks again.

According to the Wayback Machine, he was not verified as early as January 3, 2018. Similarly, Mulvaney’s CFPB account joined Twitter in November and seems to have been given the checkmark sometime in the last few weeks.
