Sharing on Instagram Stories

Instagram is trying it’s best to make Stories more interesting with continuously evolving its features.

In a recent update, sharing on Instagram Stories will be allowed from third-party apps.

Rather than screenshotting or uploading pictures, users can directly upload them to the Stories. Hit the upload button and seamlessly share the picture or the video of the favorite song or movie on the Spotify or SoundCloud.

With the GoPro app’s integration, the content is pulled directly into the Instagram Camera, from where one can edit in the Instagram app and add to the story or send via Direct.

The best part is that a user is not required to connect their Instagram Account to other apps in order to share their content on Stories.

Other launch partners include selfie editor Meitu, lipsyncing app Musically, Music streaming app Saavn, travel app ixigo, news sharing platform inshorts and more.

With this move of sharing your interest and how you are feeling, Facebook-owned Instagram has widened the usage of Stories feature and increased its value from just selfie or photo sharing.

Along with this, Instagram is also unlocking the ability for third parties to design unique, interactive camera experiences for their followers.

“If you see a new effect in Stories from an account you follow and want to try it yourself, just tap “Try it on” and the tool will be added to your tray.” says Instagram
