Stories may have been the brainchild of Snapchat, but Instagram has taken it to a new and exciting direction.
At Facebook’s F8 Conference 2018, Day 1, held in California on May 1, the photo-sharing platform announced some exciting features, that will make the app a lot more engaging.
Instagram calling and Video calling is one of the rumored feature that every user was waiting for to be rolled out and finally it will be out soon.
“More than 100 million Instagrammers watch or share on Live every day. But we’ve heard from our community that sometimes they also want to experience real-time video in a smaller group.” says Instagram
The Video Chat filter will be accessible from the messaging section, Instagram Direct allowing a real-time video chat experience between a group of friends or one-on-one.
Instagram Video Chat can be started easily by the newly introduced camera icon and with the feasibility to minimize the video and continue the chat while doing other things on Instagram.
The feature is being tested globally and as per the Instagram blog, it will be rolled out soon.
