Men’s IPL 2023: All you need to know about sponsors, brand partners & jerseys
From official sponsors to genre based partnerships, Men’s IPL 2023 has seen some of the biggest brands associations. Here’s all you need to know.
Men’s Indian Premier League is now in its 16th edition and is slated to start on March 31.
According to the official website, 70 matches are scheduled to be played over the course of 52 days. The final match will be conducted on May 21.
Men’s IPL 2023 will have a total of 10 teams: Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants. Across the teams, a number of new sponsors and brand associations are seen.
IPL’s value has grown leaps and bounds over the years. According to D and P Advisory, IPL Ecosystem registered a 75% growth since 2020, and stood at USD 10.9 billion in 2022. This valuation made IPL a Decacorn (a business with a value of more than USD 10.0 billion) within 15 years of inception.
After the auction for the current season, Jay Shah, Secretary of BCCI said that it made IPL the 2nd most valued sporting league in the world in terms of per-match value.

This season, the TATA Group is the title sponsor of the Men’s IPL while, Dream11, Saudi Tourism Authority, CRED, Upstox, RuPay, and Swiggy Instamart are the official partners.
While Aramco is the official Orange & Purple Cap Partner, PayTm will be Umpire Partner and CEAT will be Official Strategic Timeout Partner.
After an intense bidding war last year, Star, owned by US-based Disney, retained the Indian sub-continent TV rights for the five seasons of the annual two-month competition from 2023 to 2027 for $3.01 billion.
Viacom 18’s Jio Cinema bagged the digital rights auctioned for $3.04 billion in 2022. BCCI treasurer, Arun Dhumal wrote on Twitter, “So digital turned out to be bigger than linear TV this season in #IPLMediaRights.”
With this, for the first time, media rights were spread among different broadcasters, breaking the monopoly of one company.

According to Inside Sport India, Viacom18 is targeting 550 million viewers for Indian Premier League 2023 with a break-the-bank bid of 23,757.5 crores.
Chennai Super Kings
Principal Partners, TVS Eurogrip and India Cements will be seen on the front and back of the jersey, respectively. Gulf Oil will be seen on the chest (front) of the jersey. Nippon Paints, Astral Pipes and SNJ 10000 will be seen on the sleeves and British Empire and SNJ will be seen on pants.
