Women’s IPL: A look at official sponsors & brand partners

Women's IPL Sponsors

Brands sign up as official sponsors for the Women’s IPL; brands will be seen on back and front of the jerseys, caps, helmets, and more.

After immense success of Men's IPL, The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) introduced the Women's Premier League in 2023. Women's IPL will have a total of 5 teams; Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, and UP Warriorz. 

Viacom18 Sports acquires the global media rights for TV and digital broadcast for the WPL under a five-year contract from 2023 till 2027.

The TATA Group is the title sponsor of the WPL and will be sponsoring five seasons of the tournament beginning in 2023. TATA CAPITAL has bagged the right chest spot on all team's jerseys. TATA Motors is another brand that will be joining the sponsors list.

Noise partners with Women’s IPL 2023 as an associate sponsor. While Hero Vida joins as co-powered sponsor Bank of Baroda joins as an associate media sponsor of the WPL. Other key sponsors for Women’s IPL are MPL Striker, World Gold Council, H&M, JSW Paints, and Apar Industries.

Dream11 joins as Official Fantasy Partner and CEAT Tyres as Official Strategic Timeout Partner. Amul will be the Official Beverage Partner. The Official Broadcaster for WPL 2023 would be Sports 18.

Jio Cinema joins as Official Digital Streaming Partner and has recently launched the league’s first-ever campaign Naam Hoga Tera Har Zubaan Par. The campaign celebrates the resilience, grit, and determination of every girl who wants to break new grounds through cricket and was conceptualized by Ogilvy.

Meanwhile, BCCI has also unveiled its mascot 'Shakti the Tiger' for the Women’s Indian Premier League. Shakti was introduced in a short video.

WPL has also released the official anthem for the tournament 'Yeh Toh Bas Shuruat Hai.'

Mumbai Indians

IndiaWin Sports Private Limited, subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited, owned by Mukesh Ambani won the bid to acquire the Mumbai franchise. Mumbai Indians on-boards seven brand partners. Lotus Herbals and Ashok Leyland are Principal Partners for the team and will be seen on front and back of the jersey, respectively. Dream 11 and Sonata Software sign up as Associate Partners and will be seen on the lead and non-lead arm, respectively.

Usha, Max Life Insurance, and Nutrizoe are the Official partners. Usha also takes the lead spot on the cap and helmet. Reliance Foundation’s Education and Sports for All (ESA) will be visible on the playing kit’s lead trouser.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Sports Private Limited, subsidiary of United Spirits, which owns RCB in the IPL led by director Prathmesh Mishra won the bid to acquire the Bengaluru franchise. Kajaria Ceramics comes on board as the Principal Sponsors for the RCB Women's IPL and will be seen on the front of the jersey.

RCB onboards Mia by Tanishq, Dream11, Vega Beauty, Himalaya Face Care, and Puma as key sponsors.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals is a franchise team co-owned by JSW and GMR Group. JSW Paints signs up as the principal sponsor for Delhi Capitals and will be seen on the front of the jersey. Sportsbuzz11, another key sponsor of Delhi Capitals will be seen on the back of the jersey.

Navyasa and Joy Personal Care will be seen on lead and non lead arm of the team's jersey. Yatra.com and Galaxy Basmati Rice comes on board as official and associate partners, respectively.

Gujarat Giants

Adani Sportsline Private Limited, owned by Gautam Adani, won the bid to own the Ahmedabad franchise. Gujarat Giants sign up for sponsorship deals with Tata Capital and Adani Group. The team onboards Ambuja Cement as Title Sponsor and will be seen on the front of the jersey.

Fortune will be seen on the back of the jersey. Gopal Namkeen and Adani will be seen on the arms. Sports Buzz 11 and Cristos have also joined as Principal Sponsors.

UP Warriorz

Capri Global Holdings Private Limited (CGCL) won the bid for Lucknow franchise. UP Warriorz onboards Patanjali Ayurved Limited as the Principal Sponsor and the brand will be seen on the front of the jersey. Other key sponsors include French Essence perfume and Transworld.

EaseMyTrip enters an advertisement agreement with Capri Global Holdings Private Limited for five years of Women’s Premier League.

2023 has been pegged as the year of sports. Sports AdSpends are slated to reach INR 10,000 Crore this year out of which INR 6,000 Crore is slated to be for IPL (men's and women's both). With the first season of WPL now in action, brands are seen warming up with strategic placements.
