Amar Thomas, Country Marketing Manager, Blackberry India, says that during a new product launch they start promotions around 10 days before the launch. The promotions include contest for Facebook, Twitter and Microsites through teaser launches, celebrity posts etc. All of this are designed to spread awareness about the new product.
In this video he says that there should be a balance between the anticipation and the product delivery. At Blackberry they try to strike the balance between the two.
