On the 76th Independence Day of India, Red FM's ‘Teen Rang Tawang’ paid tribute to the brave warriors who personify bravery, professionalism, and selfless service. It celebrated the day at the second-highest location where the Indian flag is hoisted in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, and launched a campaign.

The Indian Army is concentrating on celebrating the quaint and picture-perfect town tucked in Arunachal Pradesh, Tawang. The incredible work put in by the Indian Army on building and encouraging the youth is indispensable. They are focusing on empowering local communities and also training them for multiple civil initiatives.

From improving infrastructure, especially around border areas, and enhancing tourism and adventure activities to establishing the town as a self-reliant district, the Indian Army is playing a determining role in bringing recognition to Tawang. Along with this, they are also emphasizing that civilian and military collaboration keeps hoisting the Indian flag and basking in reflected glory.

Teen Rang Tawang, the initiative that was envisioned by Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita, was led to its crowning moment by Red FM. It was a one-of-a-kind initiative that was undertaken with immense pride to accentuate a transformational partnership between the Indian Army and the civilians.

Red FM's radio hosts, including RJ Malishka, RJ Raunac, RJ Nilam, RJ Pallavi, RJ Swati, RJ Purab, and RJ Dhrumil embarked on an adventurous journey to celebrate Independence Day and pay homage to our courageous soldiers. Along with them, they carried heartfelt words and wishes for the troops from all over the nation as a sign of gratitude for the selfless sacrifices made by the warriors.

To highlight the cultural diversity and individuality of each state, RJs also brought souvenirs to Tawang that were related to their own states such as regional foods, handicrafts made in the area, traditional attire, and small tokens. Red FM RJs carried with them the soil of different states to Tawang in addition to sentimental gifts. The soil symbolizes how despite living in various cities, we are all connected by the country we so proudly call India.

On his expedition to Tawang, RJ Raunac mentioned, “My journey to Tawang was a transformative experience. Surrounded by awe-inspiring landscapes and steeped in rich history, I was humbled to witness the Independence Day celebrations alongside the heroic Indian Army. The camaraderie and sense of national pride were palpable, leaving an indelible mark on my heart. The warmth of the local culture and the breathtaking beauty of the region made this trip an unforgettable chapter in my life's adventure.”

RJ Swati elaborated further, “Nestled within the cradle of the Eastern Himalayas, Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh is a realm of unparalleled beauty that is bound to leave an indelible mark on anyone who explores this part of our country. I have been extremely fortunate to have been chosen by Red FM as one of the few RJs to be a part of the TEEN RANG TAWANG campaign in association with the Indian Army which has left me with a unique perspective & deeper understanding of our forces and our fellow countrymen.”

The Red FM crew engaged with the army and various cultural organizations to take a deep dive into Tawang's rich legacy in order to add to the historic event and celebrate the great festivities of Independence Day. With the presence of both army professionals and civilians of Tawang, the celebrations this year were a few notches higher.

Tawang might be a road less traveled but it is also a road that must be penned down on your bucket list, is what the Red FM RJs proclaimed. RJs hdeparted from Tawang with a deeper understanding of the rich, cultural, and war-historic significance of the district and brought home abundant memories.
