In her new role, she will be responsible for shaping and executing the company's brand, marketing, and communications strategy across a region that continues to be a key focus for Mastercard’s global operations.
Agarwal joins the company after a multi-sector career spanning over a decade across technology, mobility, consumer goods, and financial services. Most recently, she was at Google, where she led brand and reputation marketing for Google and YouTube in India. Before that, she spent over six years at Uber, holding several senior roles across branding, strategy, and operations for the Indian subcontinent and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Her earlier stints include marketing leadership positions at Procter & Gamble in Singapore, as well as early-career experience at 3M, Colgate-Palmolive, and ABN AMRO Bank.
Agarwal’s appointment comes at a time when Mastercard is navigating a fast-evolving digital payments landscape in South Asia, amid growing competition, regulatory shifts, and a push for deeper financial inclusion in emerging markets.
