Sanchayeeta Verma has exited her role as Chief Executive Officer of Carat India, a position she assumed in July 2023. Her departure from the Dentsu-owned media agency occurred last month, marking the end of a brief but significant stint at the helm of the company’s India operations.
With close to 30 years of experience in the advertising and media industry, Verma has held leadership positions at several organisations. Before joining Carat, she served as Senior Vice President at Wavemaker, where she led operations across South India and South Asia, and later headed the India SBU for ITC. She also held the role of National Director, Insights & Communication Planning at Mindshare.
Verma’s professional journey includes earlier stints at Lowe Lintas and J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, where she was involved in media planning and buying across diverse client portfolios.
Her departure comes at a time when the media and advertising industry continues to undergo transformation, driven by shifts in consumer behaviour, digital acceleration, and evolving client demands. Dentsu India has yet to announce a successor or provide further details regarding the leadership transition.
Verma has not made any public statement about her next professional move.
