X's ad revenue sharing

The newest round of X ad revenue sharing is out and content creators on X have complained about getting inconsistent payouts.

A user, Shibtoshi Nakamoto mentioned how his paycheck was about '1/3rd of what it was compared to the previous two weeks' which was then addressed by Elon Musk. In a statement, he cited that it is due to the program still being in the Beta code.

He further mentioned that it should be stable over time and highlighted that revenue sharing is only applicable to verified subscribers.

The platform currently requires creators to receive a minimum impression of five million views with a minimum payout threshold of $10 within three months. Musk had previously mentioned that the payouts would include revenue received from the advertisements shown on the creators' profiles.

However, an X source told 'X News Daily' that creator payouts do not include revenue from ads shown on profiles yet.

Moreover, X will soon allow users to appeal if they are taken out of the program. It is to be noted that their share of revenue will continue to accrue while their appeal is processed and the payouts will be rolled out if the appeal is successful.
