Instagram Edits App Gets Sticky Notes

Meta has introduced a new set of updates to its video editing app, Edits, with a focus on project management tools rather than creative functions.

Instagram announced the additions late last week, detailing enhancements to the app’s “Ideas” tab. The features are designed to help users organise their creative plans more efficiently.

According to Instagram, “We’ve rolled out new features on the Ideas tab in Edits, including the ability to save audio within Ideas, leave sticky notes on audios you want to create with, mark stickies as done, and filter stickies by status (e.g. ‘to-do’, done, or all) or sort by last edited, date created, or colour.”

Among the updates, users can now mark sticky notes as completed, which applies a strikethrough effect to the note. Additional filters allow sorting of sticky notes by status or timeline, helping users keep track of progress across multiple projects.

Another feature enables users to attach notes directly to audio clips, allowing them to revisit and use the saved sound for future content.

The updates are intended to streamline project tracking within Edits and are now available in the latest version of the app.
