In conjunction with what has been touted as the “everything app,” X (formerly Twitter) has announced early access to its latest feature X Hiring (Beta) for Verified Organizations. The feature would allow organizations to post job listings and hiring alerts on the platform to reach desired candidates among X’s enormous user base.

With this announcement, X steps into the hiring territory and will be competing with other similar apps including LinkedIn. X has been extensively used by organizations to connect and engage with their followers. This feature will further help them identify suitable candidates and post for job roles on a large scale. The job listings will be searchable by keyword, location and other criteria and will appear on the organization’s profile page.

The feature is not currently available for all organizations and only the ones with verified accounts i.e., those with yellow check marks, will benefit from it. Verification for organizations costs USD 1000 per month in subscription fee. For each affiliated subaccount, an additional fee of USD 50 per month is charged.

As X treads new waters under Elon Musk’s leadership, only time will tell how the feature works out.
