Snapchat is working on a new feature letting you organize or join any event, similar to Facebook. Find out what Snapchat Events is all about
Once you receive it, you can swipe up on your invite to join a Group Chat for the event. The invitor can add the time and place for the event.
The feature remains unreleased as of now, although Events and the recently released location-based features Snap Map & Passport. It is also unsure that whether you'd be able to create a Public Event or the feature limits to Private Events only.
Snap Map lets you share your current loctaion to friends that appears on a map. Passport, helps you keep a track of the places you’ve been to, just like the usual passport.
There is a possibility that the events you check-in to might appear on the Snap Map and you may also be able to add it to your Passport.
Snapchat has been on a spree of updates since April, with a full-fledged rebuild of the Android app, hilarious AR filters, first-ever social impact Lens Challenge and the recent content integration with JioSaavn.
