Mu Sigma, a Bangalore based data analytics company has accquired, Webfluenz – a Singapore Based Social Media Analytics company.
Mu Sigma is one of the most successful tech startups in India and its client are more than 125 Fortune 500 companies. Their USP is to merge data from multiple sources and help its clients make critical decisions in different areas. It employs over 3500 employees and this is their first acquisition. The company is based in Bangalore and Chicago and is valued at $1 billion. The client portfolio includes names like Microsoft, Pfizer and Del, to name a few, and will use Webfluenz technology to create products to mine real time intelligence from huge chunks of data.

On its acquisition, the company, says Webfluenz, will add significantly to its portfolio and it will help them in serving their clients’ needs and to go beyond traditional social media marketing. They are trying to shift their approach from a service-based approach to data products that can help a wider set of customers.
