About the Platform.

Swoo is a global livestreaming mobile platform that offers unique and high-quality content to its viewers, and is developed by Algorythma, the technology arm of Abu Dhabi financial group (ADFG). Swoo is a locally built, globally-fit smart application and is now available in the App Store and Google Play.  

Recently, Swoo Launched the Swoo Trivia Show – a celebrity hosted live video streaming game where participants can win real money!

Whom do we cater to?

We cater to all influencers, celebrities, experts and their audience, we seek to connect fans with their idols, providing an insight to their lives. We make sure broadcasters have the appropriate platform to inspire and entertain viewers.

What do we offer to our consumers?

We offer fun, positive, and inspiring content, but without the trouble of the irrelevant, tasteless content that usually ruins the experience for users of online platforms. We built Swoo to be a highly interactive, easy to use and distinct platform.

What motivated us to start up?

It’s no secret that TV consumption is reducing, while all sorts of mobile platforms are flourishing, there is a lot of room for good quality content in the social media space, and we plan to take that space! 

Many Interactive TV formats are ready to go mobile, the industry is changing, and the demand is getting higher, and we know we’re ready to deliver.

What's in a name?

It is a term we created which follows the trend in names for tech companies. Swoo drives a sense of proactive energy and is easily pronounced across different geographies at the same time. We not only created a product, but a new term that will soon be in the dictionary as well.

How do we see Social Media?

We see Social Media as a platform to express yourself, connect with others, and discover. This is the essence of Swoo, we started it as a space where people can manage to experience the good, beneficial side of social media in one place.

Since we launched in late 2017, we have grown to 6 million users globally, and 1.5 million users in India. Our team is gradually building over time, we seek creative, talented individuals that think out of the box, and like to have fun at the same time.

Our biggest challenge was..

Our biggest challenge was ensuring the quality of the content on Swoo, we have high standards, and we work hard to reach them. We make sure that our broadcasters have something of value to share, our team is working 24/7 to ensure that the content shared on the platform does not promote hate speech, inappropriate imagery, or political opinions that can lead to conflict. It’s a lot of work, but we’re willing to go the extra mile to provide a safe space for every person that uses Swoo, no matter their age, race, religion or gender.

Launching multiple live streaming formats to provide entertainment, education, business, and live game shows (Starting with Swoo Trivia!). We’re aiming to change the way media is.

We’re making moolah by...

Becoming a platform where content creators and content consumers can create value, we will work with brands and sponsors to create advertising value for them with our user base.

Like any entertainment platforms, and since we are online and are in real time, we have the leverage for the users to give instant gratification to the content creators.

As we have to monitor all broadcasts, there are many incidents where we discover something hilarious, and we huddle by a screen to watch it together!
