In partnership with Zynga, a social game developer and video game services company, Snapchat is launching Revamp, a multiplayer social game exclusively on the platform.
ReVamp is the third title by Zynga to be exclusively launched on Snapchat as a part of their multi-game partnership agreement announced in June 2020. As an original partner of Snapchat for the Snap games platform, Zynga has previously launched Bumped Out and Tiny Royale.
For the unacquainted, Snap Games is a multiplayer social gaming platform, users have the option to directly participate in gameplay from Chat. The platform includes original and third-party titles designed specifically for a mobile experience built on the PlayCanvas game engine.
Snap Games also include monetization opportunities for the game development partners and Snap, along with video advertising that includes Snap’s non-skippable, six-second Commercials ad format.
ReVamp takes on the ‘imposter’ fad triggered by online deception games, in this multiplayer imposter game users have to find out who the vampire player is among their group of friends. Players have to complete renovation tasks that are ongoing while they defeat the vampire. This will be the first social deception title to be available on Snapchat.
