Some may have initially laughed at it, calling it a 140 character microblogging fad. Today, famous poets and writers compose 140 character literature specially for Twitter consumption. It has become a live creative forum. Twitter has shaped literature to create writers of the Digital Age.
It is the epicentre of real-time updates, live news about politics, sports, philosophy, art, culture, what not. Not only it is used as a branding tool, it is slowly emerging as a tool to recruit talent in various sectors.
Twitter now has been seamlessly woven into our lives.

Twitter mentioned in a blog today that over 200 million active users creating over 400 million Tweets each day. It has become a true global town square — a public place to hear the latest news, exchange ideas and connect with people all in real time.
