Celebrities, partners, sponsors and the community come together to host the mega Social Media Week in Mumbai
Mumbai is getting ready to host the biggest Social Media festival in the country, Social Media Week (SMW).
With SMW’s philosophy of collaboration, majority of the events at SMW Mumbai are being conceptualized by organizations and citizens including celebrities, like Milind Soman, top model and actor. “It is my great pleasure to activate Pinkathon in 40 cities through a premier global event like Social Media Week. I think it’s a fantastic platform where I can reach out to millions of women at one go through the power of social media,” Milind said enthusiastically. Pinkathon is India’s largest women’s wellness running event, aimed at creating awareness about issues related to women’s health and fitness especially about breast cancer.
The buzz created through similar innovative events is also drawing in many reputed brands. Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India said, “Nokia has been globally associated with Social Media Week,and now we are really excited to bring this association to India for the first time as the City Headline Sponsor for SMW Mumbai. We feel that the timing is appropriate especially when the reach and potential of digital media is gathering momentum faster than before.”
This momentum is also reflected in the growth of SMW Mumbai community with increasing number of volunteers, speakers, bloggers and event hosts getting involved with the platform. All of them are looking forward to participate in its unique concept of multi-formatted events at various
