Social Samosa’s Hitlist for #CrashThePepsiIPL Campaign

Pepsi is known to take its fans on a journey during IPL season: @ThatPepsiIntern last season, Pepsi tweet 20 before that and #CrashThePepsiIPL this season.

This journey involves the user to create lifetime memories; turning them into seasoned evangelists.

Last season, a chosen few became Pepsi interns and were flown to various matches across Middle East and India. This season, the brand has opened up the platform to anyone willing to submit a piece of their work.

Pepsi’s initiative calls out to budding creatives to shoot a 30 second ad film expressing their love for Pepsi. The winning ad replaces Pepsi’s official advertisement during Pepsi IPL8. With #CrashThePepsiIPL, Pepsi has announced a prize amount of Rs.1 lakh for finalist entries along with showcasing them on television during the Pepsi IPL.

The second set of finalists have been revealed and currently the total number of finalists will count up to 14. The second winning ad will be revealed on TV this Saturday, Apr 18 during Pepsi IPL.

Among the many entries that have gushed on the microsite, Social Samosa has created a hitlist of their favorite ad films.

Creating a hitlist on the microsite lets you track your favourite videos and enables you to share it on social networking websites with friends.

Our top three favourite videos also have the winner chosen by Pepsi and two finalists. The winning video is an amalgamation of state cuisines across the country and position Pepsi as a national drink.

The second pool of finalists has been chosen. The winner will be revealed soon and our bets are placed on our hitlist videos. Pepsi has chosen a few finalists who seem to have cracked video making techniques and might crash the Pepsi IPL next week.
