FruitBowl Digital bags the digital mandate for Majhi Metro

2016 is the consecutive year for FruitBowl Digital in winning the digital mandate for Majhi Metro, country’s one-of-a-kind platform that connects art and culture at Metro Stations.

Majhi Metro Festival is a yearly affair that aims to celebrate different forms of art. The first festival happened 2013 where fine art and applied art students from across the city participated. By celebrating art, Mumbai Metro intends to take away boredom out of everyday commute and make local travel an optimistic and joyful experience.

This year’s theme was ‘My Metro My Story’ where poets, photographers and painters from across the city were invited to showcase their talent. The winning entries would find their way into the permanent gallery of the world’s busiest art museum – The Metro. Judges for the event are Sampurna Chattarji, Ajay Salvi, Deepak Chawla and Pranita Kocharekar.

“Exciting times are ahead of us as we expand our relationship with FruitBowl Digital for the second time. FruitBowl Digital has been tremendous in support with Majhi Metro. Bringing Mumbai’s one of its kind cultural festival added yet another bonus”, said Naresh J Sharma, Brand & Marketing Head, Reliance Mumbai Metro.

On winning the Digital Mandate once again, Dedeepya Reddy, Co-Founder, FruitBowl Digital, states “It is certainly an added reason for delight to win the mandate for the second time. Integrating the online to the offline is at the core of our strategy. We have an entire line up of Instameet, poetry slam, artist workshops, doodle wall along with poetry tree and other interesting things for the 21 day festival that would leave you asking for more. It’s things like these that truly redefine the meaning of art and we are super determined to make it a huge hit.”

Majhi Metro Festival has not only beautified the Metro stations with art pieces and photographs but has also become a melting pot for artistic and cultural sensibilities of masses. These walls of art are the expressions of ideas making Mumbai Metro truly a public transport which exerts unique positive vibes.
