Indian Digital Media Awards – IDMA 2017 is the culmination of hard work, innovation and creativity for the wizards of the digital realm; for the eighth edition of the prestigious IDMA, Exchange4Media has concluded the online screening with the two-tiered jury.
The first tier of the Online Jury for IDMA 2017 concluded the process of evaluating and assigning scores as per the pre-determined parameters.The screening council includes industry names such as Jitendra Gupta, MD/Founder, Citrus Payments, MD, PayU India, Hitesh Rajwani, Head, Social Samosa; Laura Crimmons, Communications Director, Branded3; Prabhakar Tiwari, Founder CEO, The MargDarshak Inc; Prashanth Challapalli, Chief Integration Officer – South Asia, The Leo Burnett Group; Rob Aalders, Serial Entrepreneur; Sabyasachi Mitter, Managing Director, ibs to name a few.
The next step in the IDMA evaluation will be a jury meet under the enabled leadership of Jury Chair, Manoj Kumar, Managing Director and Area General Manager, ISC GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare.
“Regional language content has huge headroom for growth in India especially with regional search coming in on Google and these are some opportunities that are still left unexplored in the Indian digital medium,” expressed Kumar shedding light on the industry.

Show Curator for IDMA 2017, Suparnaa Chadda, Editorial Consultant at Exchange4Media, expresses her rationale behind how she handpicked the jury comprising of some of the leading digital media professionals from successful organizations and ventures all over the country.
Each entry has been screened by 2-3 jury members and a mean average score assigned to arrive at a shortlist. The jury itself is consciously well balance with varied perspectives from brand heads, investors & digital experts alike.
The online screeners also include technology providers along with agency heads who understand the semantics of the digital domain. The focus for the chair was to have a representative of a large FMCG brand given their concerted focus on a digital mandate. Mr. Kumar is a perfect fit especially with his due diligence in setting a benchmark for the industry.
Jury Member, Delna Avari predicts the future developments in the digital ecosystem, “We will see greater use of social videos to communicate authentically with consumers. There is potential for more effective use of AR/VR for engagement, bots & AI for managing relationships, OTT & more original ‘seamless’ content for building relationships.”
For the inaugural edition of Techमंच, a daylong conference followed by IDMA 2017, several keynote speakers will share their knowledge and experiences of working in the industry. The conference boasts of various global honchos such as Jeffrey Dachis, Founder and CEO, One Drop and Former Founder and CEO, Razorfish; Jeff Bullas, CEO at JeffBullas.com; Neeraj Kakkar, CEO at Hector Beverages and Donna Moritz, Digital Content Strategist at Socially Sorted.

To give further insights on the industry, Jeffrey Dachis will be delivering a talk on the success story of Razorfish, while prominent blogger Jeff Bullas will be speaking about the ‘1-2-3 Key Pillars for Digital Marketing success’.
Neeraj Kakkar will take the audience through the Paperboat journey making the conference a power packed event.
