Celebrating the ethnic diversity of the United States of America, and bringing together Wiz Khalifa, Priyanka Chopra, Adwoa Aboah, Yara Shahidi and many others grooving and singing along to Boney M’s Sunny, #BridgingTheGap, is perhaps exactly what it sounds like.
Directed by Edward Enninful, it comes at a time when the American population stares at cultural differences, GAP describes #BridgingTheGap as, “Enninful selected a diverse cast of people he’s worked with, championed, and admired, all of whom embody American culture today. GAP white tees become each person’s blank canvas, and offer a glimpse into how our differences can unite us.”
The video is laden with a generous amount of smiles, and cultural representation of all major ethnicities that are a part of the rich history and present of the United States of America. Priyanka Chopra too shared the video on her Instagram profile writing the following under the caption, “It doesn’t matter where you’re from; what matters right now is what you stand for, and we need to stand for love and humanity.”
#BridgingTheGap is exactly what the world needs right now. It doesn’t matter where you’re from; what matters right now is what you stand for, and we need to stand for love and humanity.
