Founded in 1997, iProspect India is a part of the Dentsu Aegis Network. One of the country’s leading, global, full-service, multi award-winning digital agencies, it offers brands an entire spectrum of result-oriented digital marketing strategies. This includes paid and natural search, performance display, content generation, structured data & feeds, conversion optimization, data & insights, social media management, lead generation & affiliates, videos and mobile services.
What’s in the name?
Vivek Bhargava (now CEO, DAN Performance Group) actualized his entrepreneurial edge back in 1997 when he founded Communicate 2. The company joined hands with iProspect from the Dentsu Aegis Network in 2012. He led iProspect Communicate 2 as the Founder and Managing Director. The company was rebranded as iProspect India at the end of 2015. iProspect is the largest performance agency in the world.
What we do?
The services that we provide are paid and natural search, performance display, content generation, structured data & feeds, conversion optimization, data & insights, social media management, lead generation & affiliates, videos and mobile services. We have executed award campaigns for Abbott which included creating a proprietary tool called iPump. This tool allowed us to ensure that people in the vicinity of our OOH ads would see similar communication on their Facebook pages. We also worked on the rebranding campaign for Aegon Life and have had multiple success stories for brands like HDFC Bank, Essilor India and Raymond.
Why we do it?
Vivek Bhargava who founded iProspect India (then Communicate2) on his frequent visits to the West in places like US and UK observed that those countries use technology for marketing and communications extremely well. This wasn’t the same scenario back in India – this made him think of starting digital technology for marketing and communication in India to help Indian corporates create wealth, make them more competitive and meet their business objectives. This soon became a passion and iProspect India was one of the first digital agencies to be born in India.
How we evolve?
It’s crucial to continuously understand the pulse of the industry you work in. Not just from a knowledge perspective, but also to stay relevant in your offerings and recommendations. This gains even more importance in a dynamic industry as digital marketing that is evolving every single day. As iProspect India, we are part of multiple internal and external trainings at regular intervals (Google, Facebook, etc.) where we increase our awareness about products and services that impact our industry. We also actively participate in most industry events like Cannes, GoaFest, etc. along with many speaker events and workshops. Reading relevant news about the industry is also a habit that is inculcated in each member of the iProspect India family. All these factors help iProspect evolve and change with the times – both the people and hence the company.
Social responsibility in social media
Today, people spend hours on social media and thus the content they see tends to affect their behavior. We as a digital agency make it a responsibility to show them the brand that is true in its nature. It should be accurate and factual in its projection. We avoid planting reviews and content in order to boost the brand’s presence but focus on building the brand organically.
Need of the hour
Today people tend to give out their personal details without thinking twice. This data is sensitive in nature and should not be misused. As an agency we take this very seriously, we have a zero tolerance policy against misuse of information and data can be used only if provided and authorized by the client.
We learned the hard way
Always go with your instinct and create the content that the consumers would want to read. There are times when we create work that would be appreciated, but is rejected by the client. Do what you feel is right for the users.

Once our plan was set, a client called 2 days before the launch with an entirely different brief.
By piggybacking trending topics like X-Men, Game of Thrones and Baahubali, we made insurance fun and engaging.

The best part is the budget – being low as compared to other mediums play as an advantage for everyone to promote themselves. According to a survey for 2017, there will be around 600 million internet users who will create opportunities to sell services and products to the increasing number of customers.
