About the Platform.

Fabform is a digital content provider co-founded by Pratiek Mehta and Vishal Mull. The idea is to generate unique short format content for today’s youth. We are proud to have a team of young, talented, quirky and innovative individual. Our first active property is ‘The Comic Wallah’ through which we have introduced one-of-its kind 7 days 7 show format content.

Whom do we cater to?

We are specifically targeting young audiences, college going adults, and teenagers. However, the kind of shows that we have and kind of content that is in pipeline will appeal not only youngsters but also adults.

What do we offer to our consumers?

We aim to have all sorts of content on ‘The Comic Wallah’. We have shows covering a variety of topics that are useful in day-to-day life or just for pure entrainment purpose.  Adding comedy and quirkiness to them makes it a light watch. We are diversifying to Lifestyle, Reality, Comedy, Drama all under one roof. We are looking at being one stop destination for entertainment for the youth of today.

What motivated us to start up?

Having done TV for over two decades now, both Vishal and I come from the entertainment background. We recognized the shift in the content consumption pattern of the audiences. Belonging to the TV we have analyzed consumer’s content need and their likes and dislikes towards a certain type of content. There is a lot of space still empty in the content cloud which is what the youth is seeking for. And that is exactly what motivated us to start up ‘Fabform’ through which we aim to bridge the content gap.

What’s in a name?

FabForm is Fabulous Form of entertainment.

How do we see Social Media

Content viewing has evolved, and how!

Social media is now used more to attain entertainment than to be socially connected. Having produced for television previously, it was inevitable that we would turn to creating content full time and with the convenience that social media comes with, there is no doubt that it’s the best option. Social Media is already on its way to dominate this industry and what better to see it grow along with your own growth

Currently we are….

Being a few months old, we have launched a number of shows and managed to get A-list TV actors such as Krystle D’souza and known faces such as NitibhaKaul to be an integral part of these shows. We are ready to move to the next stage of programming and have quite a few exciting concepts in store that’ll be out soon with more known faces and different content. The journey has been smooth so far and according to us, one of the biggest reason for this is our content quality, internal strength and connect of ‘Fabform’ Team.

Our biggest challenge was..

In today’s vulnerable market, one has to be on the top of the game and innovate with technology as we move. One of the biggest challenges in today’s world is to retain the consumer base that you have, especially when your area of working is entertainment. This is an ongoing challenge for every content provider as there are so many options available, it is very important to stand out and serve content we believe in and see if the youth is connecting with us.

We wish to attract as many viewers as possible and become the ultimate video destination for youth entertainment. We want to dominate not only in terms of numbers but also in terms of the quality of the content we provide.

We’re making moolah by…

We are currently self-funded!!!! But main revenue model is Branded content.

Our What The **** Moment

When Vishal and I were sitting in a coffee shop brainstorming ideas and decided ‘It’s enough!!!’. Let’s do something for ourselves and do what we believe in. We wanted to move further from Indian television and move towards the web where we could create content for us.

Industry as we foresee

The Indian youth has very well adapted to the shift in content and the content provider. They are very well equipped, both intellectually and technologically, to make utmost use of social media and gather maximum content. The average growth goes down a little due to the traditional, orthodox chunk of India that is still very loyal to the Television Industry. The social media industry’s expansion is inevitable but it will not take place in India overnight due to our diversity

Yes. We are in constant look out for fresh and creative talents be it writers, directors and all sorts of creative and witty individuals.
