What’s in the name?

The name DViO is not inspired from…but is an inspiration. It embodies in the four strong individual letters almost everything we stand for — youth, swag, edginess, simplicity, authenticity, and ambition. D we believe stands for Direct to Consumer with Digital, V for Vision and (V)Wisdom, I for Integrated marketing— which is at the heart of everything we do. And O stands for Outcome driven.

How we evolved?

DViO’s journey began in the year 2007, when Sowmya Iyer (Founder & CEO) started Xebec Digital. As the organization grew into one of the largest independent digital marketing agencies – Sowmya bought over 100 % of the company from her partners/investors and rebranded the company as DViO Digital.

Today, DViO serves six markets in three countries– Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Dubai and Africa with over 130 digital media experts across offices in areas of digital content creation, digital videos, creative, mobile marketing, technology and media.

Sowmya also runs a marketing incubator for start-ups in ad, content and marketing technology.  The incubator currently houses five start-ups, and she intends to grow the portfolio to 25 + start-ups in the coming year.

This incubator is a unique initiative to connect brands with the innovation and value that start-ups have to offer and has been seeing immense traction and value in the market.

Social responsibility in social media

An agency literally means ‘action or intervention producing a particular effect’.

We believe that marketing agencies should be catalysts that enable big brands to inspire the audience. There are brands that have a share of voice, there are brands that have huge budgets to spend, and then there are brands that are built on legacy. Every brand has a story. How that story can inspire a generation is a power that lies within the agencies and that becomes a huge social responsibility.

Need of the hour

There has been a kind of ‘social media awakening’ on the onset. The audience is becoming smarter every day and the social trends change every other day. In this scenario, it’s imperative to stay on your toes ALL THE TIME. This is also a culture we have tried to imbibe at DViO – eat, live, and breathe social media.

Did we just share that?

Twice a month, we celebrate Happy Hours when we shut our laptops and dance over them (that’s also the reason why we keep buying new laptops every now and then).
