Siddhant More

From a marketing intern at ITC to the Founder of Mad Over Marketing, Siddhant More has come a long way. More is a firm believer of setting targets and smashing them with hard work.

In a candid conversation with Social Samosa, Siddhant More shares his journey of starting out and shares a few tips that he learned along the way.

What led to your entry in the dynamic world of digital marketing?

It was almost incidental. I've been interested in the space since quite long, first just as a user and eventually as a content creator. I dabbled in it for fun during college and one thing led to another!

Looking back, how would you describe the journey? What is the one instance that made it all worthwhile?

Super exciting! Social media is literally the most exciting place to be at right now. No one instance, but organically scaling up the followers has been most satisfying.

One stereotype about working in the digital media sector that is thrown at you every time

'So you must just be on Facebook all day right'

One memorable campaign that you worked on. Any behind the scenes dope?

We did a pretty fun campaign for Nestaway once. Working with startups is always exciting because they're usually very kicked about new ideas. The most ironical behind the scenes dope was that I was myself house hunting at the time so the campaign was hitting right in the feels!

One campaign you wished you had been a part of and why?

One of those early days Pepsi Coca-Cola ambush wars - imagine that on social media!

Motivation Mantra

Work hard, make money and live the good life!

One day in your work life…

Wake up without an alarm (the best job perk to be honest), tons of sales calls and a whole lot of looking at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

3 things you do daily that have helped you excel professionally

Frankly just set strict sales targets and give yourself the day to day flex in how you want to plan your day.

One upcoming trend you want to latch on

Videos, videos, and more videos.

Digital marketing gurus you loop up to

Zomato and Durex are brilliant

One trait that helped you win 30Under30; any tips for upcoming participants?

I'm not big on giving tips but I'd just say set crazy ambitions and then work super hard.

One moment or instance from your journey that aptly describes #AgencyLife

Literally, 1 out of every 2 calls in a day end with the client disclaiming 'but we don't have the budget for a paid campaign' #AgencyLife

Where do you see yourself 5 years down the line?

Who knows! :)
