The Commune, a forum of advertising, media and marketing communications industry, is soon bringing up the second edition of its much popular and loved Industry Roast.
The Commune Industry Roast 2.0, powered by Vidooly, an online video analytics suite for advertising and media business, is a bigger and better edition to be held on February 08, Friday from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm in Mumbai at Café Zoe, Lower Parel.
This roast will be CLEAN, FUN yet BRUTALLY HONEST, bringing together leaders from Advertising, Marketing, Digital, Journalism, Media Planning & Buying and PR to roast each other’s professions (not each other) alongside a standup comic as the roast master Industry Roast is an IP owned property of The Commune, conceptualized by its founder Deepak Kapoor. This is worlds and India’s first ever roast format that includes the otherwise much
stressful and serious business functions.
This year, industry leaders donning the hat of roasters are Bobby Pawar (Chairman & CCO, Havas Group India) from Advertising, Prathyusha Agarwal (CMO, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited) from Marketing, Amaresh Godbole (CEO, Digitas India) from Digital, Chetan Muley from Media Planning & Buying, Mayank Shekhar (Entertainment Editor, Mid-Day) from Journalism and Girish Huria (President, Ketchum Sampark) from PR. The roastmaster, this season, will be none other than Neville Bharucha, the standup comic with the funniest bone.
While announcing the second edition, Deepak Kapoor, Founder, The Commune, stated, “What started off as an idea in 2016, The Commune has come a long way in mobilizing and bringing together different professions on a single platform. Though related, professionals somewhere lacked awareness of how each of the professions functioned and the challenges involved. It’s an effort to bridge this gap through unique experiences. Equally important when integration is the buzz word in marketing communications space and all these industries are or
will be working together in some way or the other.”
By bringing a fun and humorous way of interacting with each other, The Commune is trying to build an environment that is encouraging and uplifting for all the verticals of the A&M industry. “Industry roast is one such unique curated experience where we are using humor to engage the entire fraternity. The Commune Industry Roast 2.0 is managed by Robust Events along with GS Media Works as video production partner. Venue partner for the event is Café Zoe. The media partners on board include Zee Café, Fever 104 FM, Social Samosa and Curly Tales.
The first edition was held on January 18, 2018, in Mumbai. Senior leaders from Godrej Group, Mullen Lintas and Schbang roasted each other’s functions.
