Take a break from the noise and pollution with a look at Diwali Campaigns 2019 marking the biggest festive fiesta of the year.

The tray of Diwali Campaigns 2019 is filled with various brands tapping a number of themes – few ritualistic and a few distinctive. This year observed a unique integration; some campaigns soaked in sentimental stories and few forged the initiative of implying a positive impact on society.

Baja Allianz Life Insurance brings you the story of Chintu unboxing a pack of crackers made by him in life-threatening situations by slogging for strenuous hours. The campaign uses the format popular among YouTube Creators and viewers predominantly consisting of millennials to give a hard-hitting message – don’t darken someone else’s Diwali to brighten yours.

Chandramohan Mehra, CMO, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance mentions, “While the message cuts across profiles, our core TG remains millennials who resonate to purpose-driven brands”.

This Diwali, ICICI Lombard in association with the firefighters of Mumbai, release a new Arti – Shubh Deepavali Saavdhaan. The campaign aims to give precautionary guidelines we can use to stay safe during the ‘lit’ celebrations in a form that resonates with the festival and our traditions.

Commenting on the musical campaign, Sanjeev Mantri, Executive Director, ICICI Lombard says, “When you read something you tend to forget it very quickly. But, if you hear a song, you might end up humming it”.

Ogilvy Mumbai, Group Creative Directors, Talha Bin Mohsin, and Mahesh Parab, mention, “Fire accidents shoot up considerably during the time of Diwali causing loss of life and property. So, this Diwali we wanted people to be safe by following some simple safety instructions.”

On another musical note, Acko General Insurance launches their campaign – #LetsReverse, that proposes a practical solution and encourages people to not drive their car the next day to reduce air pollution.

Rajdeepak Das, Managing Director India, and Chief Creative Officer Leo Burnett South Asia shares, “Real aftermath of these festivities is the pollution that we inadvertently create”. Kavita Chowkimane – VP Marketing, Acko says, “With this campaign, we want to encourage people to take some action and hope to start a movement towards greener choices”.

Tanishq’s campaign conceptualized with Lowe – Riwaazon wali Diwali encapsulates the spirit of Diwali celebrations and continuing the tradition of buying jewelry across generations.

Speaking on the launch, Deepika Tewari, Associate Vice President– Marketing, Jewellery Division at Titan Company Limited says, “This campaign is an ode to the innumerable ‘Rivaaj’ or traditions that are followed by us, especially that of buying gold and hence the name – Virasat”.

To bolster the Diwali celebrations through the world, One Plus launched a campaign in collaboration with Snapchat. In the integration, the brands have created special Lenses that will bring to life renown, global landmarks including Tower Bridge in London, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Taj Mahal in Agra and the Gateway of India in Mumbai, to commemorate the festival of lights.

Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India mentions “Through this campaign, we hope to share the warmth of this season with our global community as we prepare to celebrate India’s biggest festival.”

#SalaryBeforeDiwali by Axis Bank shows the difference between Diwali of dreams and Dreams in real and emphasizes on the role of finance around it, in a comical manner.

Pepsi, SBI Life Insurance, Faasos and more take the route towards social good. Coca-Cola, Samsonite, Vodafone, Spotify India, Seniority X Dozee and more revive the ‘FamilyWali Feeling’. More brands let their creative rockets paint the dark sky.
