A marketing professional with 7+years of experience, Megha Sarin began Fit As A Fiddle as a creative outlet during her studies. Sarin encourages clean eating and living a meaningful and healthy lifestyle through her blog.

Sarin takes us through her beliefs and strategy that help her stand out amidst a clutter of creators.

Looking

back, where did it all begin?

My hobby bloomed out of a childhood obsession with glossy magazines and finer things in life. I began Fit As A Fiddle as a creative outlet during my studies.

It all started on a personal level and brands started reaching out to me for barter associations. This made me take my blog up a notch on a professional level.

What's

in the name?

'Fit As A Fiddle' envisions to encourage clean eating, living a healthy lifestyle and meaningful, offbeat travel.

What

is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?

After traveling to more than 20 countries, I liked to stay true to myself focussing on lifestyle and real-life struggle. I want to make sure healthy eating is not boring and one needs to establish a relationship with food even while traveling or eating out.

Please

take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and

relatable?

My content is usually very-well planned, personally curated and professionally shot. It will be the right mix of travel updates, variations in workout videos, Yoga asanas and quick healthy recipes as well. This also means it is targeted to a very niche audience.

How do you make moolah with your efforts?

I work hard and focus on what I believe in. Brand collaborations come on its own. However, there are several brands that still like to associate on a barter basis.

How

do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs?

I usually discuss the briefs with the brands on a personal level. Also, I strictly do not collaborate with any brands in the alcohol or junk food segment.

One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile

I was chosen by Nike to be a part of their Nike Running Club and groomed by the trainers to run a marathon. I got featured in Grazia Magazine as a woman of substance as an ardent travel blogger.

Fit As A Fiddle also won the best Lifestyle award by FBAI (Food Bloggers Association of India).

Weirdest

brand brief/request ever

Some of them have been challenging related to workout videos. One of the briefs was writing about a day in my life keeping an energy drink in the focus.

If

not blogging, you would be?

Running a travel show!

A

day in your life.

My days are spent at work, planning content and meals, both at the same time, exploring culinary escapades, developing healthy recipes and making travel plans.

Message/tips

for upcoming bloggers

  • Create niche content.
  • Be real and authentic.
  • Do not go behind the numbers but find your own individuality.
  • Do not come across as you are just showing off your lifestyle.
