Being comfortable with what you do is key here: Shreeya, Lashes Luxury Leather
Following her instincts and heart’s desire to creating unique content, Shreeya shares her journey with Lashes Luxury Leather.
Juggling between many tasks, and making her content quintessential to her voice has been the motto for Shreeya through her blog page – Lashes Luxury Leather. Here’s a look at her expedition of the content-creation process.
Looking back, where did it all begin?
It’s been 2+ years. I still can’t believe it!
What’s in the name?
LashesLuxuryLeather- L cube it is. In this overstuffed world, to stand out a unique name was required that I could relate to the work I’m willing to present. The 3 words I selected have an impeccable reason-giving justice to the name.
Let’s start with the first-word Lashes- relates to eyes/beauty which can say a lot without uttering a word.
The second word is Luxury that we all crave for. Coming from a middle-class family, Luxury is something that I’ve always dreamt of. But then I didn’t forget to work on it for achieving that. I prefer skipping a few things to invest in Luxury brands.
The third word is Leather, now that can raise a lot of brows considering that fact we’re talking about the animal skin here. But what I meant to focus here is handbags, boots, wallets, belts which are not always made up of animal skins as there are different kinds of eco-friendly leather available in the market as well.
What is your USP in this cluttered space? How does your content give you an edge?
I don’t always end up wearing brands. I also do go by the stuff that I pick from local/ flea markets because, at the end of the day, it’s all about styling. No one comes to check the tag/ label on your outfits.
I’ve been asked to share the link of the outwear I picked from local markets which means they connect with me on local fashion too. I don’t have to be too conscious about my picks anymore unlike other bloggers just promoting brands.
My content is my voice and by the end of the day when I see my posts being saved, it gives me a sense of self-achievement. After all, I can’t please all but even if a post/ style of mine can leave a long-lasting impression, it suffices the efforts I have input in it.

Please take us through your content creation process. How do you stay relevant and relatable?
I go by my instincts. Do the research and see what I’m comfortable in. Being comfortable with what you do is key here. If you’ve been doing something just for the heck of it, it’s not going to last long.
How do you make moolah with your efforts?
This isn’t where I earn my bread and butter from. Most of the products that promote are collaborations done on a barter basis/ in exchange for products or services the brands offer.
How do you maintain editorial objectivity with the influx of brand briefs?
I think a personal touch is very important to be added on. I, therefore, ensure that along with the specifications agreed upon, I mention my personal experience/ memory related to the brand.
One instance/experience that made it all worthwhile.
I got an opportunity to judge the Trash- Fashion Show at Lady Hardinge Medical College. It made me swept off my feet. I then realized how far have I come.
Weirdest brand brief/request ever
I would not like to name a brand in particular but with the increasing number of PR, the brand request is these days are becoming more like a Chinese whisper which leads to disasters at times.
If not blogging, you would be?
I’m working full time as an Auditor for Corporate Banking Operations. I just invest my off time and weekends for creating my content.
A day in your life…
Juggling between a lot of things as I need to keep a tab on the events, content, office work, family and friends. It’s difficult, but I’m happy with the pace of life’s moving.
