Brand posts get infected by #SonuKismile
#SonuKiSmile is spreading like cream cheese and brand posts have partnered with #HappyRider fans to spread it everywhere.
Okay, so it all started when a video of a Zomato delivery partner named “Sonu” started surfacing online. His infectious smile and contented happiness from being at work was an inspiration for several people and memes.
And the hashtags #SonuKiSmile, #HappyRider, #ZomatoBoy, #ZomatoDeliveryBoy, and #ZomatoHappyRider emerged and continue to be populated as of yet.
Zomato India has leveraged Sonu’s popularity too. They changed their display picture to Sonu’s headshot, announced that they are now a ‘happy rider fan account’, and created topical posts.
Lays India was one of the first brands to be infected by #SonuKiSmile. Lays India extended its campaign #SmileDekeDekho – where they featured smiles of various influencers on their packs and led an influencer campaign. They virtually featured Sonu’s smile on a Lays pack for their topical post.
Bazarville, a store for personalized & custom T-Shirts designed a T-Shirt featuring Sonu’s smile. More brands such as Oral-B India and Ching’s Secret spread #SonuKiSmile through posts.
