PV Sindhu is leading the charts in the court of advertising and has been on the winning side before, during, and after the interval with campaigns for some of the leading top-tier brands.
Her win in Women’s Singles at Rio Olympics in 2016, put her on the global map and got her into top considerations for several brand endorsements.
Until now, Sindhu has endorsed Flipkart, Moov, Gatorade, Myntra, Panasonic, Stayfree India, Visa, JBL India, Nokia, and many more. She has also raked several multi-year endorsement deals.
Sindhu has had a long-standing relation with Bank Of Baroda as its brand ambassador. The first Indian woman to win an Olympic Silver also became the Bridgestone India’s first ambassador.
Her list of endorsements has kept her brand value quite high in the past years. In the 2018 Celebrity Brand Valuation Report by Duff&Phelps PV Sindhu held the rank of #15(same as 2017) amongst the Indian celebrities, and was also the only female athlete on the list, with a brand value of $21.6 million.
In February 2019, Sindhu signed a four-year sponsorship deal with a sports brand Li Ning, which is considered to be one of the biggest in the world of badminton, for an estimate of ₹500 million(around 50 cores). In the list of ‘Highest-Paid Female Athletes 2019’ by Forbes, PV Sindhu was ranked #13 and was the only Indian in the list.
Starting with winning a Bronze at the 2009 Sub-Junior Asian Badminton Championship, till being the first Indian to win Gold at the BWF World Championships 2019 which also triggered a tide of topical posts, and further and with her continuous stint of wins, Sindhu has fixed her spot on the top of the mountain of ace athletes.
