To encourage Americans to vote responsibly in the upcoming elections, Vodka brand Absolut has launched a new campaign, ‘Vote First, Drink Second’.
Complete with a media plan of a TVC, out-of-home efforts and digital and social advertising, ‘Vote First, Drink Second’ is a direct message by Absolut to their consumers about making voting a priority this year. Some of the messages being put up as a part of the campaign are: ‘Your Vote Can Shake or Stire the Election’, ‘Save Your Drink for After the Vote’ and ‘Drinking Can Wait. Your Vote Can’t’. It is a non-partisan integrated campaign.
As a part of the campaign, the brand has also launched four Giphy stickers that can be downloaded from their mini-website that has been created as a space to direct persons seeking more information about the campaign. The page also lists a form that people can fill to get drink recommendations.
“We’d never tell anyone who to vote for, but if we can inspire Americans to go out and vote — and if they wish to, responsibly enjoy an Absolut cocktail after their ballot has been cast — we will advance our goal of creating a better-blended society,” said Pamela Forbus, Chief Marketing Officer of Pernod Ricard USA. Absolut is Pernod Ricard’s flagship premium vodka brand.
